How to start a company

A good idea! A great product! An awesome team! These are what you need to start a company. But they don't make a business, people do. So, if you want to become a successful entrepreneur, then you have to find them. You'll need at least 5-10 years of experience (probably more). And the best way to get these years is by working for someone else. In other words -- you need to learn how to work before you can run your own business.

1. Have A Plan
Before you even begin, have a plan of what you want to achieve by starting a business. Do you want to make money? Do you want to be self-employed? Or maybe you just want to create something and build a following? Whatever you choose, make sure you know exactly what you’re going after before you get started otherwise you won’t end up doing anything at all.
2. Develop A Clear Vision
Whatever you do, don't confuse your vision for reality. If you're not clear about where you want your business to go, then how could anyone else possibly know either? Your vision should be as detailed as possible, because if you can’t clearly define your goals, then no one else will either. Keep in mind that this vision might change over time depending on whether your business takes off or not, but you should always aim high.
3. Choose A Name
The name you choose should represent who you are as a brand and tell people everything they need to know about your product or service. You may think that choosing a name is easy, but in reality, it's almost impossible. That's why we suggest having multiple names prepared just in case yours isn't chosen.
4. Make An Impact
People aren't interested in your product or service unless they believe it will make an actual difference in their lives. If your product doesn't help solve any problems, then nobody wants it! Therefore, you'll need to find out what kind of problem your potential customers face and figure out how your solution solves that problem. Then, focus your marketing efforts around those issues.
5. Find Customers
There are two ways to find clients that will use your product or service. The first way is through networking and referrals. This method works well if you already have some sort of network and/or reputation in place. The second way is to actively search for clients online. There are many platforms where businesses post ads looking for new clients. There are also websites like Craigslist & Kijiji where individuals sell items and services.
6. Create A Website
Your website is your portal to success. In fact, chances are, your current customer base actually learned about you from your website. Therefore, it needs to be professional and well designed. Don't skimp on this step! Your site should load fast, look great, and provide all the information your customers need without being annoying.
7. Build Trust
Building trust means establishing a connection with your audience. After you've successfully built a connection with them, you can market yourself freely knowing that you have their interest at heart. To build trust, you can start by offering free content on social media like Facebook or Twitter. Use these platforms to communicate directly with your target audience. Also, you can let them know about upcoming events, offer discounts, and ask questions. All of these things show that you're human and approachable. As long as your customers feel comfortable enough to reach out to you, then you'll gain their trust.
